Arlondriah Lenyéa is the Creative Director of the Catharsis Project, a professional dancer, actress, HIV advocate, and an internationally published print, runway, and underwater model hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana. She has extensive training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary/modern, hip-hop, Horton, African and aerial silks. As creative director, Lenyéa and The Catharsis Project use dance and other art/media forms to share stories, and experiences from the HIV epidemic. The Catharsis Project recently completed a 6-day artist residency with the Oakland LGBTQ Center in Oakland, CA. Currently, she is the project consultant for the C.R.E.W., the creative remedy and education workshops, which is a support group that creates a safe space for a focus group of Black and people of color who are living with HIV and identify as cis gender women, or LGBTQ to participate in professional capacity and life building workshops.
