BAI’s Health Department initiative helps form planning bodies, task forces, and working groups to focus on health-department-related issues such as outreach to key populations, Rapid ART and PrEP implementation, and “Ending the HIV Epidemic” planning and implementation. We recognize that each health department is different due to resources, policies, and the communities that they serve, and we provide tailored needs assessments and assistance to each organization.

This initiative’s training and capacity building are designed to support state and local health departments to implement culturally appropriate HIV prevention, care and treatment services within Black communities.
