Cozy Cinema: Virtual Film Screening

January 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

BAI’s Revolution In Color team kicks off its first virtual movie viewing experience!

Cozy Cinema will be a socially distant movie experience that encourages education and community. Our first viewing of 2021 is 5B – the documentary that pays homage to First Responders of another viral pandemic that we all know too well.

About the film: 5B is a 2018 American documentary film directed by Dan Krauss and Paul Haggis about the efforts of a group of nurses and caregivers who opened the first AIDS ward in the world at San Francisco General Hospital and changed the way patients were cared for in the 1980s AIDS epidemic.

About Rev In Color:

Revolution In Color (RevInColor) is a Black AIDS Institute initiative founded upon the strength of brotherhood among young, Black, gay and bisexual men. Through outreach and events, RevInColor looks at risk reduction and HIV prevention from a social point of view

RevInColor focuses on personal goal setting, life skills and planning, and social experiences and events to mobilize young Black gay and bisexual men to shape a healthy community for themselves, build positive social connections, and support their friends to have safer sex and healthier relationships. Topics include themes such as dating, sexual health, mental health, social media, and ways to protect and maintain your health, particularly during the COVID-19 period.
