World AIDS Day is commemorated on December 1.

This is the largest observance in the HIV/AIDS community because of its global impact. Set by UNAIDS each year, the 2020 theme is: “Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Resilience and Impact.” Learn more about the U.S. Government’s response here

This World AIDS Day marks the end of a difficult year for Black communities. We are being hurt twice as hard by COVID than White Americans, as well as continuing to fight the HIV epidemic.

The Trump Administration has funded the “Ending the HIV Epidemic,” the incoming Biden Administration claims to end HIV by 2025. However, despite advanced political will and biomedical progress, we cannot stop the epidemic in Black communities without addressing racism.

Give generously to fight racism and end HIV in Black communities.

Giving Tuesday

This year, December 1 is World AIDS Day and Giving Tuesday.

A large part of BAI’s fight to end HIV in Black communities is funded by organizations and individual donations.
