Historically, Black experts have been excluded from scientific research and development. This is obvious in how health crises like HIV and COVID hurt our people the most.

The Black AIDS Institute leads through Black Empowerment. The 12 members of our all-Black Scientific Advisory Committee represent the best of medicine, public health, research, and academia. They will provide BAI with timely and culturally relevant scientific guidance, and will also review the quality and relevance of the technical information that BAI incorporates into its programmatic and policy endeavors.
