At the Black AIDS Institute (BAI), our approach is influenced by our collective belief that our work is bigger than us. It is about the injustice that Black people face and the interconnected oppression we endure. Our work is activism and resistance materialized. Our work is beyond critical. It is urgent.

BAI’s programs are geographically aligned in 2 ways:

  1. National Programs: These initiatives aim to increase awareness, build capacity, and strengthen advocacy around HIV issues in Black communities.
  2. Los-Angeles Programs: These initiatives aim to provide respectful and culturally appropriate HIV-related health services and medication for Black people in LA.

BAI’s programs span 4 segments:

  1. Advocacy and Mobilization
  2. Black-centric Healthcare
  3. Training and Capacity Building
  4. Information Dissemination
